Books are texts which increase the Skill Ratings of party members who read them in Betrayal at Krondor.
Overview[]
Each Book occupies one Inventory space and has a maximum of 100 uses. The number of hours consumed in one reading is different for each title. The first reading of a given title affects the Skills of the reader, while subsequent readings have a chance to do so again.
Skills[]
The following Skill Ratings can be increased by reading Books:
- Assessment: Accts of Shamata Garrison
- Armorcraft and Weaponcraft: Chapel's Rmur n Whepuns
- Casting Accuracy: Dorcas' Treatise
- Crossbow Accuracy: Kalem's Dialectic
- Defense: Psalms of Dala
- Haggling: Strategies of Trading
- All Skills: Thiful's Bird Migrations
The amount by which each Skill is raised varies by title and by which Skills are selected at time of reading.
